Future of Web Design Conference – what’s in it for us?

Web designers can be geeky people. Theirs is a world of CSS, JavaScript and relational database management systems.
But that’s OK. They produce brilliant work. (Especially at Moove:)

But to keep them on top of their game, we have to invest in them. And I don’t mean just providing Luncheon Vouchers and a beer on Fridays.

Lordy, no. This month, we’ve spent a significant amount on tickets for the Future of Web Design Conference in London in May.

Here’s why.

Future of Web Design conference helps to give clients even better work

It’s a bit like that old acronym, JIJO. What’s that, then? Junk In, Junk Out. OK, I made that up, but you get the point. Except at Moove it’s more like DIDO. It stands for Dazzle In, Dazzle Out. Nothing to do with the pop star.

To dazzle you, our clients, we first have to dazzle our staff with the latest in website design, in advanced coding techniques, in even better project management and resource scheduling. And to put the milk in only after they’ve taken the teabag out. This thirst to continually improve and learn (and for tea) is our governing principle. We want to give you better value, better quality – better everything. And we can only do that by continually increasing our skill set.

To inspire our team

Desks are lovely. They’re where we produce our best work. They may also contain a stash of chocolate biscuits. But there’s a big, wide world out there. Stuff is happening constantly. The best people in our industry are presenting cutting-edge projects. Meeting them and chewing the fat with them can inspire our team and pump them full of creative energy.

To build a stronger team

Some teams are separated just by a vending machine or a staff kitchen. We’re kept apart by part of the European mainland. Short of building a spectacular bridge between London and the Czech Republic, it’s tough to share a beer. Getting together at the Future of Web Design conference is a good excuse to talk shop and cement a few bonds.

In conclusion, being better than the rest is all about nurturing talent, encouraging the development of skills and growing as an agency.
