New WordPress Website for FutureLearn

FutureLearn is an online learning platform who partner with industry and over a quarter of the world’s top universities to offer flexible short online courses and microcredentials, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Since launch, millions of people have joined FutureLearn.

FutureLearn is a technology company with a core team of developers improving their education platform every day. We have been working together since 2014 providing FutureLearn WordPress development and on-going support services.

In 2020, we developed a brand new WordPress website to help their team of global marketers connect with users all around the world.

Over 4 sprints, working closely with FutureLearn’s team of engineers, Moove Agency developed their new WordPress website in under 2 months.

Here is the list of some advanced features:

Flexible Page Builder

• We built flexible, fully responsive landing page templates that allow the FutureLearn team to create an unlimited number of landing pages themselves, using flexible block structures.
• Our page builder also allows CMS users to edit content on the front-end of the website, providing the most intuitive CMS editing experience possible.

Course Finder

• We integrated intuitive course-finder functionality to the CMS of the new site.
• The backend functionality pulls a list of courses from an external .NET site and refreshes them daily.
• CMS editors can easily select which courses they want to feature on individual pages and posts.

Banner System

• The website features an advanced banner system that allows the CMS editors to choose which banners should appear on which pages based on the rules setup in the CMS (keyword, tag, specific banner).

Accessibility

• The website is fully compliant with the latest accessibility standards WCAG 2.2
